Since EvergreenHealth Foundation was established in 1990, our not-for-profit has partnered with the community to provide our hospital with the resources necessary to continue the pursuit of clinical excellence. In the past three decades we’ve witnessed the transformative power of philanthropy as EvergreenHealth has grown from a modest general hospital into one of the top hospital systems in the nation.
The lifesaving and lifechanging care at EvergreenHealth show the promise of philanthropy, and our work is just beginning.
Recently, EvergreenHealth Foundation has fundraised with a special focus: Maximizing clinical excellence at EvergreenHealth. Our donors have invested in enhancing specialty care, sustaining community programs, making capital improvements and purchasing newer, more modern technology.
These efforts have paid dividends. Today, EvergreenHealth’s reputation for clinical excellence extends well beyond the Puget Sound region, garnering awards and recognition for its superior patient outcomes and the value, safety and quality of care. We are humbled by all that our hospital has achieved, but never complacent. More families are moving to the Eastside, which can create access challenges, and our longtime neighbors are aging which increases demand for specialty care.
EvergreenHealth must grow alongside our community and adapt to these evolving health care needs. Philanthropy will be essential to sustaining local health care needs, but also instrumental in taking EvergreenHealth to the next level.
