EvergreenHealth Foundation is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting the greatest needs of EvergreenHealth by building strong relationships with local philanthropists, businesses and organizations.
As Major Gifts Officer at EvergreenHealth Foundation, my role encompasses two key responsibilities: major gift fundraising and prospect research, which involves identifying and cultivating relationships with potential donors. My job is to help people connect their passions and values with meaningful opportunities to make an impact, and I have a deep appreciation for the role philanthropy plays in advancing community health and well-being. I'm a values-driven person, and EvergreenHealth's mission resonates with me deeply. It is such a privilege to work for an independent, community-owned hospital system that is responsive and intentional in ways that keep our community's best interests at heart.
Outside of the Foundation
Outside of work, I love anything and everything crafty. I'm an avid painter and recently fell in love with pottery. If I’m not crafting, you'll most likely find me in my garden, exploring estate sales, or hanging out at a local wine shop with friends. Born in Bosnia and raised in South Dakota, I relocated to the Seattle area in 2024 with my husband, stepdaughter, and our dog, Norah.
I serve as a Major Gifts Officer at EvergreenHealth Foundation, where I partner with donors to support key priorities across the hospital, with a particular focus on hospice care. My role centers on building meaningful relationships and connecting people to opportunities where their philanthropy can make a tangible difference for patients and families. I was drawn to EvergreenHealth Foundation because of its strong connection to the community and the direct impact philanthropy has on patient care. Hospice, in particular, is such a meaningful and essential service and I’ve seen firsthand how important it is for families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Being part of an organization that prioritizes compassionate, patient-centered care and having the opportunity to help sustain and grow that work is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of the Foundation
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active whether that’s jogging, hiking or getting outside whenever I can, when the weather cooperates. I also have a creative side and love graphic design projects. On occasion, I pour at a local winery on weekends, which is a fun way to connect with the community in a different setting.
Lori joins us after serving as the Chief Advancement Officer for the Pacific Northwest Research Institute in Seattle. She has a distinguished work history in marketing, communications and philanthropy, including her role as Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Providence General Foundation.
Outside of the Foundation
A graduate of Washington State University with a degree in communications, Lori is well known for her spirit of giving back to her community. She served as an active advisor and volunteer with the Dawson Place Child Advisory Center; the South Everett/Mukilteo Rotary; the Everett Public Schools Foundation; the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy; and the Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic Advisory Board and Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.

Outside of the Foundation
A true Pacific Northwest native, I enjoy chatting with friends over a good cup of coffee, commiserating over the state of my favorite local sports teams, and traveling in the winter to visit my friends and family who live in the sunshine year-round.
I am privileged to project manage EvergreenHealth’s annual signature event – The Evergreen Gala. It’s certainly fun to see what we can dream up to make it the best event each year. As the corporate officer, I work together with our corporate partners towards a mutually shared purpose to provide the best medical care for our community.
Outside of the Foundation
Family is the heartbeat of my world. Bound together by our mutual enjoyment of one another, we love to spend time adventuring around and exploring the Pacific Northwest. We are avid sports fans from motorsports to balls and pucks!
My job is to connect EvergreenHealth Foundation donors and future donors with information about how philanthropy supports our patient care at our community-owned hospital. The best part of my job is hearing the moving stories from EvergreenHealth patients, providers and donors. As a former health journalist, public health researcher and EvergreenHealth patient (my daughter was born at EvergreenHealth in 2025!), I recognize the exceptional care our hospital offers the community, and I’m grateful to support our mission-driven organization alongside my committed colleagues!
Outside of the Foundation
I moved to the Eastside from the East Bay in late 2023 and I have enjoyed exploring the natural beauty of the PNW. When I’m not in the office, I like to enjoy as much sunshine as possible with my family, friends and two little dogs (Milly and Fauci). On the weekends you can probably find me chasing my rambunctious children around the local playgrounds, walking along the East Lake Sammamish trail or reading a book.
After being born at EvergreenHealth and receiving all my care here, the choice to work on the fundraising team for an organization that cares so deeply about their patients and staff was easy. I joined EvergreenHealth in early 2017 and as the administrative coordinator, I oversee typical administrative duties as well as processing donations from our grateful patients and families. I love hearing how EvergreenHealth has changed lives because of our amazing staff! I also oversee the Foundation Board of Trustees meetings, the Foundation Allocations process, and I am the liaison for Whidbey Coffee, our coffee and deli vendor within the hospital. In addition, I oversee all the Foundation funds and fund transfers to EvergreenHealth.
Outside of the Foundation
I currently live in Redmond in the house I grew up in. I graduated from Washington State University in May 2016. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, both of whom were born at EvergreenHealth. I also love reading, photography, shopping and traveling.
I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, annual programs and events including the Campaign for EvergreenHealth (our employee workplace giving campaign), direct mail pieces, and the revenue stream of special events which benefit different departments of the hospital each year.
Outside of the Foundation
When not at work, you can find me spending time with my family, treasure hunting for unique antiques, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and cleaning up after my ‘Marley’-dog, Paisley! I enjoy a good movie from time to time and love rooting for our Hawks come football season.
