Wechkin Family Match

As the EvergreenHealth Hospice Medical Director since 2007, Dr. Hope Wechkin knows first-hand the transformational power of end-of-life care. Dr. Wechkin and her family saw the necessity of this service in a new way when their mother, Hendrika (Hennie) Schaling Wechkin, spent the last weeks of her life supported by EvergreenHealth Home Hospice.

February 20, 2023 will mark the one-year anniversary of the death of Hennie Wechkin. In Hennie’s memory and honor, the Wechkin family is donating funds to EvergreenHealth Hospice to support those with limited access to the vital services that Hospice provides. They believe so deeply in the necessity of this critical care that as a family they will match all gifts made to hospice up to $75,000 until February 20th, 2023. It is their hope that the same level of hospice care Hennie received will be available to all our community members in need, now and in the future. Thank you.
