Behavioral Health Fund

Access to behavioral health services is one of the largest gaps in the health care system in our community. In addition to clinical assessment and support for all patients who access the emergency department in need of behavioral health care, EvergreenHealth also provides community resources and increasing access to much-needed behavioral health services.

In July 2023 EvergreenHealth launched its first embedded behavioral health clinic, co-located with the Canyon Park Primary Care Clinic. We added a licensed behavioral health clinician at this location which allows primary care providers to internally refer patients, ensuring patients receive immediate follow up and access to behavioral health care, rather than being externally referred and having to wait up to 90 days for an initial appointment.

In addition to providing its own outpatient behavioral health services, EvergreenHealth also provides dedicated social work services and crisis intervention at each of the four comprehensive Lake Washington School District high schools, sponsors an on-site behavioral health therapist for the Northshore School District and partners with NAMI Eastside, the local affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness, to support educational forums on mental health and provide additional resources to our community.

Philanthropy helps expand access to behavioral health services in our community, ensuring that more of our residents have the resources they need to support their mental wellness.
