The EvergreenHealth Employee Financial Assistance Fund was established in 2020 to meet the immediate needs of our colleagues for whom COVID-19 or any other hardship has created a severe financial strain. Ours is a community of care, and while patient care is our primary activity – we care for each other, too.

The annual EvergreenHealth Employee IGIVE Campaign traditionally has supported the work of the Evergreen Fund Allocation Committee (EFAC), which funds staff and physician proposals of up to $5,000 for programs or projects that enhance patient care and services at EvergreenHealth.

The choice is yours! We are holding our online EvergreenHealth Employee Campaign this fall. All contributions will benefit our colleagues in need through the Employee Financial Assistance Fund, unless you choose to designate to the Evergreen Fund Allocation Committee for small grants to increase patient care in 2022.

These continue to be challenging times for all of us – deeply affecting our physical, emotional, professional and personal lives. Together, we’ll stay strong as we continue to practice care and kindness and look with hope toward a time when this pandemic is in our past.

As you are able, we invite you to make a contribution to the Employee Campaign this year:

  • If you’re already making an annual gift to the campaign through payroll deduction, we ask you to consider increasing your payroll donation by 10 percent.
  • If you’ve never given, welcome! You couldn’t have chosen a better time to support the campaign and your colleagues at EvergreenHealth. We ask that you consider making a meaningful personal gift in an amount that is significant for you.
  • Those who give a lump-sum gift, thank you, as always. We look forward to your contribution this year, too.
  • If you have worked at EvergreenHealth at least 6 months and would like to donated your PTO hours, we are happy to offer that as an option as well.

Our Employee Financial Assistance Fund review and approval committee continues to manage and meet all of our employees’ hardship-related financial needs. The fund, now a permanent installation at EvergreenHealth, will accept gifts all year.

The Evergreen Fund Allocation Committee (EFAC) will resume in 2022, offering small department grants of up to $5,000 for initiatives that improve patient care but have unfortunately been cut or unable to be budgeted.

We thank you in advance for your part in helping meet our colleagues’ urgent needs today. So that we never need to say no.

If you choose to maintain your gift via payroll deduction, no action is necessary, your gift will rollover automatically in 2022.
